The people of the province of Sindh, Pakistan’s second largest province by population after Punjab, are facing the worst form of water pollution and shortage. The total population of Sindh is estimated at 45 million and it is appalling to hear that many districts of Sindh including certain Districts of Karachi have had water tested as unfit for human consumption. A majority of people die from many waterborne diseases every year caused by exposure to and consumption of polluted water.
In 2012, we heard from a friend that over 18 children die in a small village because of drinking of unclean water and there is no means of safe – clean water in these hundreds of tribes, since then we have started drilling water wells in the villages where people access to clean water and that saves them from lot of dices as well.
